Feline Pawty Candidate for Adelaide

Candidates poster Dugal Adelaide

Some of you may be aware that the ginger in charge of our country said that we have to get a new government in September.

Mr Bumpy has decided that cats need to rule the world including Australia and has been pre-selecting candidates.

I am pleased to say that I have won pre-selection for the seat of Adelaide (sorry Kate E but your time’s up) and I stand by the policies of the Feline Pawty.

Please see all the other candidates at Mr Bumpy’s webby here And vote for me

3 Aussie Cats?

So we have been 3 Aussie Cats for a over a year now….. although we have received a few applications to our happy little club. First there was the back fence cat:

Back Fence CatAnd the pretty face cat…..

And staff has been checking out these kitties ……

But…… one day, we saw this little guy looking in at us

Staff said that he looked hungry and lonely and gave him some food. He kept coming back to visit us and didn’t have a collar.  Staff wondered whether he belonged to anyone. Eventually he stopped going anywhere else and was living in our courtyard.

Dad staff kept asking what we were going to do because three cats was already too many! *horrified ears*. Dugal spoke to some of his twitter friends and got the name of some shelters from one of our Adelaide pals, but staff couldn’t bring herself to take the kitty there for fear that he wouldn’t find a home.

Junior staff had already given the kitty a name!! We were having this for dinner the day he arrived, so he started calling our new resident Rigate.Unknown

Staff took him to the vet and they found that he didn’t have a microchip. He had a blood test and tested negative to Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS. That was good! Dad staff felt that he was fighting a losing battle by this stage and had even taken over feeding our new resident.

So, after the trip to the vet, he was allowed inside and before you knew it Dad staff said he needed to stay in at night so he didn’t fight with the other applicants for the fourth Aussie Cat. Fair enough.

So, I guess he lives here. Now, can you see where we were asked for our opinion on the applicant? Did we get to interview him???? No and no!

It’s fair to say that life has been a little hissy around here. Somehow Dugal has ended up being the bottom of the pecking order still. Wicket has made an alliance with Rigate and McGonagall smacks Rigate whenever he makes a bid to be the boss.

It turns out that Rigate was not house-trained, but he is making great in roads and the he is starting to make himself at home.

So I guess that means welcome to Rigate, the fourth member of the “3AussieCats”!

Blooming Brilliant Award

Well, blow me down, you could knock us over with a feather!! We are extremely honoured to be telling you about another blog award.  This very special award was created in celebration of the First Anniversary of The Five Cats Chronicles and it’s called the Blooming Brilliant Blog Award.

Blooming Brilliant Blog Award

Thankyou so much to Patchy from the Five Cats Chronicles!!  In accepting the award, Patchy has asked that I do these things:

  1. Give a link back to the site that gave them the award.
  2. Pass the award on to a minimum of 4 other blogs.
  3. Answer this question:  If you had a brilliant idea what would it be?
So here I go!
For those of you who have not visited Patchy’s blog, the Five Cats Chronicles, YOU MUST!! I particularly enjoy the post where Patchy writes to famous peeps.  To read the letters, or visit Patchy’s site, here are the links:
And, because I am not good at doing what I am told in the right order, I am going to answer the question next. My brilliant idea is:
I want to create a kitty resort for all kitties to enjoy! It needs to be a mansion and have full time staff to meet all our demands.  I just need my staff to win lotto and then convince them to build us a mansion.  It would look something like this:
….. love the fish pool, trees to climb and the huuuuge litter tray out the front :)
Now, comes the best part. I get to award this to a minimum of four recipients.  So here are four blogs that I really love:
  • Ruger Blue and Izzy – Ruger is brilliant with words. He might not be a cat, but sometimes he thinks like one
  • Gemma – OMC, we’ve just picked another doggy! Gemma has some brilliant toys and is a puppy fashionista
  • Janis Felidae because she is truly brilliant to learn as much about AFL in one season as she has!
  • Mr Bumpy Cat because he is such a brilliant writer that he has written his own blog
  • and, taa daaaa my last winner is Jessie and her huMum for their brilliance at organising all us Aussie anipals.

Concatulations to these wonderful winners!  Please visit their blogs and thankyou once again to our pal Patchy! And don’t forget to visit Patchy’s shop, Catnip Corner

The Next Big Thing

Now, first of all, an apology for Mr Bumpy Cat and Janis Felidae for taking so long. The 3 of us blame our staff and we will be advertising shortly for some new ones.

Early this year, we were honoured to be awarded the Next Big Thing Award, not just once, but twice!!! OMC!!! Thankyou so much sweet friends.

Now, to introduce you to Mr Bumpy Cat…. he is a famous author, yes you heard me correctly! Mr Bumpy has his own book. His mum is the best staff member a kitty could ever want because she helped him write it.  The book is available on Amazon and there is even a Kindle addition.  His Mum has also written lots of books.

He recently moved house in the middle of a huuuuge storm, but thankfully he is safe. Have a look at Mr Bumpy’s wonderful webby here.

And that brings me to Janis!

janis_bigthingaward20131Janis lives in Germany but she is really an Aussie at heart. Janis and her humum keep us constantly entertained with their funny stories and #kittyleaks. But don’t let her sweet looks fool you, Janis and her humum are extremely clever. They recently beat most of the Aussies in our Anipal Dreamteam (AFL) competition and are now beating the pants off a bunch of Brits in Fantasy Premier League.

Have a look at their webby – it will have you in stitches!

Now, I get to pass this award onto five other recipients.

Firstly, we have Santas Cat.  SC spends most of the year looking out for troublesome elves and cute fairies at the North Pole. SC hangs out with Santa and you will see them if you stay up late on Christmas Eve

Then we have Mr Pie who is already a big thing really. He’s famous for losing lots of weight. He’s been on TV and in a magazine. What an amazing kitty he is.

For my third nominee, there is Mia and Manu. They are a beautiful pair of Siamese kitties and they have the most pawsome pictures that you have ever seen. And they are side-splittingly funny :)

Benny and Fancy, otherwise known as The Tardis Toms are my fourth nominee. Read about their wonderful adventures in the Tardis. They have travelled the world!

And then to put the puppy amongst the kitties is Biggy Fudgecakes blog. He doesn’t take himself too seriously and you can help save shelter pals on his webby.

So, a huge hug for Mr Bumpy and Janis and a round of appaws for the five new award winners.
